Professionally, I am most known in my role as a communication professional; now engaging exclusivly through the lense of Social Impact .

I started my career as a journalist and worked as a correspondent, editor and columnist in Sabah and Milliyet newspapers based out of Istanbul but reporting internationally. After 10 years in the media, I served as the Vice President of Global – Hill & Knowlton Public Relations Agency.

As the Head of Corporate Communications at Borusan Group between 2008- 2020, I lead a team managing all aspects of corporate reputation and brand identity of one of Turkey’s most respected Fortune-50 conglomerates. In this role, I designed moving social responsability campaigns that made a powerful impact on public opinion, most specifically in the domains of social inclusion. Due to our projects in the domain of gender equality, I was honored to serve as an advisory board member of the WEP (Women Empowerment Principles) connected to the United Nations.

I am also an ICF Approved Gestalt Coach. I have over 1000 hours of coaching and training experience with leaders, with a focus on “Personal Brand Management”.

As the President of Corporate Communicators Association which is Turkey’s biggest corporate communication professionals network, I believe that “the future of communication” will be achieved through the concious effort of effective leadership, solidarity and cooperation.

I established a social enterprise called Bilim Virüsü (Science Virus) which aims to spread ‘the science bug’ amongst young people, equip them with 21st century competencies, and a global mindset. In three years, we have reached over 5000 young people and aim to deepen a strong community of learning and adaptation.

In 2021, I was honored to be recognized by Euclid Network as one of the top 100 women social entrepreneurs in Europe.

Distilling my experience in communication and social responsibility projects, I founded Science of Impact (SoI). SoI is an innovative initiative formed of technologists, consultants, and experts that designs and delivers bespoke projects through the exclusive lense of Social Impact. We believe in delivering value and service at all levels and aim to make sustainability the core of every business activity.
